... He is not a knight. Also, redundancy is useless when seperated into two sentences. Also, "How do you do it Mr. Melvin, how do you do it."2 years ago

Actually it's a question. "How do you do it Mr. Melvin, how do you do it?"2 years ago

I'd beg not to be the one with a blank. Just because he's going to die anyway, so if I'm there I might as well be there for a reason.2 years ago

No, what they really need are nihilist firing squad members. That way they wouldn't care even if they did kill the SOB.2 years ago

It's not so much nihilism, so much as it is... Let's put it this way. The lethal injection system has two buttons that are pushed simultaneously to start the process. However, the computer randomly ignores one of the signals for the same purpose as the blank in this situation. If I had been one of the guys to put Bundy or someone like him asleep, I would not have had a problem with pushing both buttons.2 years ago

Did you seriously think about what you just said? That would require letting a murderer be armed. In a situation where they could shoot people other than the intended target. The demand for security would overshoot the benefits.

Plus, it would ENCOURAGE killing...

I'd absolutely hate that. I'd never be able to go the rest of my life wondering if I actually killed the person or whether it was a blank in my rifle.

I'd just be happy if they told me I had a bullet and I killed him. Same with a blank.

Sorry for anonymising, but couldn't you just shoot him in the leg? Or is that bad form?2 years ago

That would be bad. If the shots didn't kill him, someone would have to fire a pistol in his ear, which would make quite a mess and I imagine is a lot more unpleasant than being shot in the heart.2 years ago

but you would know if you have a blank or a live round. the tip of a blank is crimped. as opposed to the end of a round having a projectile.

You would also know because there are guns made for bullets and then there are guns made for blanks. One would surely notice an adapter on their rifle.6 months ago
